Acronis Demonstrates Next Generation Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 in Booth #1319 at VMworld 2009

Acronis® Inc. (http://www.acronis.com), today announced its participation in VMworld 2009, a VMware-led showcase of virtualization technologies and partners. Silver-sponsor Acronis will demonstrate its recently introduced Acronis Backup & Recovery® 10, the next generation of Acronis True Image disaster recovery products, in booth #1319. The show takes place in San Francisco August 31 - September 3, 2009.

The Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 portfolio of products combines increased scalability and backup efficiency with software-based data deduplication, and enhanced operations manageability with agentless backup for VMware host platforms. Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 is capable of backing up and restoring any Microsoft or Linux-based servers or workstations to their full operating state prior to any failure. This comprises the entire hard disk including operating system, applications, updates, settings and data.

Deduplication allows organizations to dramatically reduce the size of their backups by eliminating storage of redundant files. Acronis' online calculator enables organizations to quickly estimate the storage savings they could realize using deduplication to cut storage requirements. In many cases, the savings from deploying deduplication more than covers the software's cost.

With the new capabilities of the Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 family, small, medium, and large organizations can simply automate backup and disaster recovery processes across physical and virtual environments, including physical to virtual migration capabilities, in a single solution.

Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server Virtual Edition

Designed specifically for virtual environments, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server Virtual Edition is based on Acronis' patented disk imaging and bare metal restore technologies. It enables organizations of all sizes to extend the cost-saving benefits of virtualization by protecting virtual machines running on a single physical host for a low, fixed price. Supporting virtual platforms such as VMware®, Microsoft® Hyper-V®, Citrix® XenServer™, and Parallels®, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server Virtual Edition takes advantage of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V server technologies. Organizations can leverage Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server Virtual Edition's functional power and exceptional ease of use to simplify their backup and recovery processes while improving their ability to meet challenging Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
