A recent report from the FBI shows that Cuba ransomware has scored at least $43.9 million in total ransom payments after successful attacks on 49 different targets in five critical infrastructure sectors.
The Cuba ransomware gang has been around for several years, and mostly targets organizations in the U.S., South America, and Europe. They use a downloader trojan known as Hancitor, as well as phishing tactics, to distribute their own form of malware.
