Award-winning technologies now protect up to three PCs
Woburn, Mass., March, 9, 2011 - Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use backup, recovery and security solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments, today introduced two special packages for the backup and hard drive management of multiple PCs or laptops to help consumers protect and manage all of their household computers.
Acronis is licensing two of its most popular home user products to allow them to be used on multiple computers. Acronis® True Image™ Home 2011 Family Pack offers comprehensive support for the backup and recovery of systems, applications, settings or files on Windows computers. Additionally, Acronis® Disk Director® 11 Home Family Pack enables hard disk drive management for better performance. Both are licensed for use on up to three computers per household, reflecting the growing trend towards second and third computers in households.
According to a recent survey from the Pew Center, in 2010 59 percent of adults had a desktop computer and 52 percent had a laptop computer. This illustrates the fact that many households have more than one computer in use at any given time. The Family Packs offer a cost-effective solution to protect all the computers in a household.
"A PC or laptop is now an integral part of almost all home activities and is used by all ages. With more personal information, in the form of online banking files, photographs, music downloads and online shopping records residing on computers, it is more critical than ever to protect this data," said Lisa Robinson Schoeller, director of product marketing, at Acronis. "The Family Packs offer the benefits of the Acronis' family of award-winning backup software and disk management software at an affordable price."
