Acronis achieves 100% protection rate in AVLab’s Advanced In-The-Wild Malware Test

In January 2025, the AVLab Cybersecurity Foundation, an independent testing organization located in Poland and an AMTSO member, initiated its first of six Advanced In-The-Wild Malware Tests for the year, aiming to identify top-tier security solutions for Windows 11 environments. For instance, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud was tested with default settings, supplemented by activating Acronis Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).

• Testing environment: The evaluations were conducted on systems running Windows 11, providing a modern and relevant platform for assessing the effectiveness of each security solution.

• Compliance and standards: The testing procedures adhered to the guidelines set forth by the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organization (AMTSO), ensuring that the evaluations met industry-accepted standards for fairness and accuracy.

In this rigorous assessment, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, supplemented by Acronis EDR, demonstrated an excellent level of protection. The solution effectively detected and blocked 100% of all 759 malware threats encountered during the testing period.
