In the fast-changing and ever-evolving cyber landscape, organizations need to keep up with the latest techniques and technologies to stay successful. To ensure that Acronis partners have the knowledge needed to efficiently position, sell, and deploy the cyber protection solutions that their clients are looking for, Acronis has completely redesigned and relaunched their training and certification courses.
Unveiled at the Acronis Global Cyber Summit 2020, the new Acronis Academy is an active and scalable education engine designed to expand the company’s support of partners. “The success of Acronis is built on the success of our partners, which makes it critical for us to have an active and scalable education engine for the entire Acronis ecosystem,” said Serg “SB” Bell, founder and CEO of Acronis. “By delivering valuable content in a simplified way directly to service providers, their staff, and their clients, Acronis is empowering our partners with the tools they need to succeed.”
These new training courses are provided to partners completely online and in bite-sized portions, aligned with the idea of 24/7 momentary learning. With no travel and physical training required, Acronis has created a platform where all partners and their clients can take a course immediately and at their own convenience.
For a limited time, existing Acronis partners can access these new training sessions and certification courses free of charge through the Acronis Partner Portal and embedded within core products. A new add-on learning subscription can also be attached to an account that enables partners to add their clients to training sessions about specific products.
Cyber protection training and certification courses
Currently the Acronis Academy is offering partners training and certification opportunities in more than 20 languages focused on three major areas:
#CyberFit Sales training
Courses designed to advise sales and marketing professionals on how to best position Acronis products and give them the knowledge they need to effectively engage potential customers and expertly answer their questions.
In these courses, partner sales and marketing associates gain expertise on everything from available licensing models and value propositions to product details, sales tactics, and go-to-market strategies.
#CyberFit Technical training
Courses designed to provide IT professionals with broad knowledge about the usage of both Acronis Cyber Cloud and Acronis Cyber Protect 15 software solutions, allowing participants to learn and test all product functionality for both products.
In these courses, partner technical and support representatives gain expertise on everything from basic operating concepts and managing tenants and users to planning, performing, and enabling backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and other cyber protection operations.
#CyberFit Developer training
Courses designed to provide application developers with knowledge on automation and integration to third-party applications in Acronis Cyber Cloud, allowing participants to learn and test all product functionality in the cloud.
In these courses, Value Added Reseller (VARs) and System Integrator (Sis) representatives gain expertise on aspects of business automation via Acronis Cyber Cloud.
The goal of the Acronis Academy
All of these training and certification courses cover the Five Vectors of Cyber Protection: the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security (SAPAS) of an organization’s data, applications, and systems. By taking these courses and understanding how Acronis Cyber Protection Solutions help to address them and deliver comprehensive protection, organizations gain actionable advice on how to enhance their sales, technical, and development efforts in the cyber protection era.
In addition to the training available for partners, the Acronis Academy will offer programs for its own employees and end-users.
“We want the Acronis Academy to be an educational engine for all training and enablement for every member of the Acronis community: from employees to channel partners to end-users, and anyone that wants to be #CyberFit,” explains Righter Kunkel, who is heading the Acronis Academy. “Our goal is to train over a million people by 2022.”
