Many managed service providers (MSPs) are looked to as IT “fixers” first and foremost. They do their due diligence to provide IT managed services that keep organizations up and running at optimal speed, while working efficiently and maintaining a best-in-class cybersecurity and data protection posture, among other things. But there’s another element of what they do that’s incredibly important to their SMB clients: enabling their self-sufficiency.

That’s why the February release of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is particularly exciting: now Acronis’ file sync and share serviceAcronis Cyber Files Cloud — is fully integrated into the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud agent, ensuring 90% faster deployment, consolidated agent updates and fewer system resources used.

This means that MSPs not only have the upper hand against the competition by using the only solution that integrates cybersecurity, data protection and endpoint protection management in one (Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud); the solution now also simplifies file sharing and content synchronization for their clients — thereby boosting their user experience and productivity as a whole. Meanwhile, expanding your service offering with an integrated, in-demand file sync and share service unlocks higher margins and helps reduce customer churn.

Of course, we don’t stop there. MSP clients gain other ‘self-help’ advantages with our February, 2022 release, while MSPs will be able to realize additional business value from several new enhancements. Read on to learn more.

Business clients get a big boost to their file sync and share experience, plus self-service anti-malware scanning

While the new admin role in Acronis Cyber Files Cloud helps administrators respond to clients’ privacy and compliance restrictions with ease, business users can also now easily preserve their revisions and links when moving files and folders. In addition, the solution now supports iOS 15, enabling users to collaborate securely while leveraging the latest iOS version on their mobile devices.

In another boost to user self-sufficiency, the February release also enables clients to perform their own anti-malware scans of any folder on their workstations — on demand!

MSPs also see a boost to their offerings with several noteworthy enhancements

·       MSPs can now choose whether or not to enable Acronis Active Protection, self-protection and cryptomining-process detection separately with new, granular control over ransomware protection settings.

·       For MSPs leveraging the Advanced Disaster Recovery pack, there are two new benefits. First, they can initiate failover to Acronis Cloud from a deleted recovery point. Furthermore, it’s now possible to protect applications that depend on their own DHCP server (i.e., VoIP) by allowing DHCP traffic via L2 site-to-site VPN tunnel during failover to Acronis Cloud.

·       Via the ConnectWise Manage and Datto Autotask PSA integrations, MSPs can also now automatically provision new customer tenants as a 30-day trial account, which grants users full access to the integrations’ capabilities.

·       And for partners serving clients in Helsinki, Finland, a new Acronis Cyber Data Center is at your disposal, ensuring better connectivity and enhanced compliance given the new local storage option.

Peel back the onion
